盛光社区是福建省厦门市集美区集美街道下辖的社区，位于街道中东部。[1]

地名由来[edit]

社区位于集美街道中东部，因辖区内的盛光路而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清末，此地属浔尾保；民国年间先后隶属集美乡的浔尾保和集美保。[1]

1953年11月，此地划属郊区集美镇的第二、第三大队，1959年改设蔬菜农场和水产养殖场，1970年恢复为大队。1976年，大队与居委会并存；1984年10月，两个大队与居委会合并。[1]

1991年5月，此地始设盛光居委会。2001年，本居委会改属集美街道。2003年，另一居委会整体并入本社区。[1]

文化[edit]

2007年，社区率先在集美街道内成立党总支。[1]
