岑西社区是福建省厦门市集美区集美街道下辖的社区，范围北抵集源路，南抵嘉庚路，东侧为岑东路，西侧延至银江路。[1]

地名由来[edit]

辖区内有岑西路，社区因此得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清末，此地属岑头保和浔尾保；民国时期先后隶属集美乡的浔尾保和集美保。[1]

1953年11月，此地划归郊区集美镇的第一大队；1959年转为小农场，1970年又恢复大队名称。1976年起归第一居委会管辖。1987年7月，郊区一带改设集美区。[1]

1991年，第一居委会更名为岑头居委会，同年5月，岑头居委会拆分，本地由此设立居委会。2003年，居委会改为社区。[1]

经济[edit]

万达广场位于社区辖区内。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年11月，社区被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生社区」。2024年4月，入选「2024年厦门市儿童友好示范社区」名单；同年12月，又上榜「2024年福建省儿童友好社区」名单。[1]
