金山街道是福建省厦门市湖里区下辖的街道，位于厦门岛东部，2004年9月设立，辖区面积14平方千米，下辖9个社区。据区政府网站，街道户籍人口约6.586万人，按常住计约为12.3万人。[1][2][3]

街道东北面濒临同安湾，西南隔湖边水库与江头街道蔡塘相望，北面隔五缘湾，经日圆大桥与禾山街道相连。辖区内有湖边水库、五通灯塔公园等。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

街道地区1987年7月起属湖里区。这里的村落在1984年10月设禾山乡，1989年改为禾山镇。[4]

2004年9月，禾山镇撤销，析设江头、禾山、金山三个街道办事处，金山街道即其一。[5]

街道先后获评「全国学雷锋活动示范点」「全国社会工作示范社区」「全国民主法治示范社区」等荣誉。[1]

地理环境[edit]

街道地处厦门岛东北部，东北濒临同安湾，西南隔湖边水库与蔡塘相望，北面以五缘湾为界。[4]

名胜古迹[edit]

湖边水库建成于1960年，是厦门岛东部的小型淡水水库，水体面积约1平方千米，现为厦门的应急备用水源。区政府网站也将其列入街道概况。[1][6]

五通灯塔公园位于环岛东路五通段临海地带，2012年1月4日开工，占地13.2公顷，以高83.6米的灯塔为主体，利用翔安隧道挖出的沙石土建成。[1][7]
