围里社区是禾山街道下辖的村改居社区，位于厦门岛东北部。它2001年随原县后村委会撤销而分设，2003年末完成村改居，前身为围里社。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

社区原名移里社。1941年厦门沦陷后，日军修建机场，移里社于是改称围里社。[4]

2001年，县后村委会撤销后分设出三个村委会，围里为其中之一；2003年末村改居工作完成。[1][3]

地理环境[edit]

辖区面积约0.8平方千米。东面以县黄路上的快速公交县后站为界，西侧靠宸鸿科技厂区，南面到县后小学，北侧为瑞世达科技厂区。[1][3]

人口民族[edit]

社区户籍人口仅2108人，非户籍人口则有25686人。百度百科、快懂百科与博雅地名网的这两项数字一致，但各家所记的总人口不同，此处不取总数。[1][2][3]
