禾山街道属福建省厦门市湖里区，地处厦门岛东北一带，位于湖里区的中部。它北面与高崎机场相邻，南侧依傍薛岭山，西边以铁路为界，东边的水面连着五缘湾。全街道分为12个社区，其中五个由村庄改制而来，另七个属城市社区。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

宋朝时这里归同安县绥德乡的嘉禾里管辖。[3] 到1980年，郊区禾山公社下面有枋湖、钟宅、县后三个生产大队；1984年这三处改成村委会，划在禾山乡之下；1987年湖里区成立后，此地转入新设的区。[3]

禾山镇于2004年6月经福建省人民政府同意撤销，原地分设禾山、江头、金山三个街道办事处。[2] 区政府网站把禾山街道的设立时间定为2004年9月。[1] 维基百科给出的镇撤销日期是2004年7月1日，快懂百科则写街道在同年9月23日挂牌。[4][5]

2001年4月，原县后村委会分出坂尚、岭下、围里三个村委会，此后于2003年前后改为社区。[7]

地理环境[edit]

区政府网站给出的辖区面积为16.04平方千米，连五缘湾水域计算；博雅地名网则写作约11.8平方千米。[1][6] 北边靠着高崎国际机场，南边靠薛岭山，东面伸到五缘湾内湖一带。[1]

人口[edit]

区政府网站列出的数字：常住约34.21万，户籍11.54万，未说明统计年份。[1] 百度百科引用2025年9月的一份公文，户籍人口记为9.44万。[3]

行政区划[edit]

现有12个社区，依次为钟宅、枋湖、坂尚、岭下、围里这五个村改居社区，以及枋湖南、禾美、五缘湾北、禾缘、禾山、禾盛、禾欣七个城市社区。[1]

文化[edit]

街道综合文化站被评为福建省特级综合文化站；社会工作服务站获得福建省五星级的评定；退役军人服务站则得到「福建省爱国拥军模范先进单位」这一称号。[1]

地名来自厦门岛旧称「嘉禾屿」。相对旧城而言，城外的一带称为「山场」，两字合起来简称禾山，于是用作街道名。[6]
