马垅社区是福建省厦门市湖里区殿前街道下辖的社区，位于厦门岛东北部，2003年6月完成村改居，辖内有马垅社、古塘垅社、小东山社三个自然村。[2][3]

地名由来[edit]

旧时海水可流至辖内，近水处有一丘水田，俗称锈水田，是殿前陈氏家族田产的最末一处，地名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代属嘉禾里二十四都，民初归店前保；抗战胜利后划入殿上保，建国初属高殿乡。1957年此地划给福建省亚热带植物试验场，1970年该场下放郊区前线公社，设立新大队。[1]

1984年为禾山乡马垅村委会，1991年改为马垅居委会。1998年5月，马垅村委会析出部分地段，另组建兴隆、兴禾两个居委会；2000年5月殿前街道设立，马垅归其管辖；2003年改为马垅社区。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2023年，马垅社区入选「市级现代化治理试点社区」。[3]
