和通路与和通里是辖内的两处地名，社区名由此派生，其读音与濠头相近。[1]
概况[edit]
辖区面积约0.8平方千米，有10个生活小区、72栋居民楼。辖区内共有8170人，常住人口6045人。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
此地原为山坡旱地。上世纪80年代初，这里征地建设了面粉厂、粮食及物资储运仓库等设施。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2024年4月，社区入选「2024年厦门市儿童友好示范社区」名单；同年12月，社区上榜「2024年福建省儿童友好社区」名单。[1]
