社区所在地属康乐新村，故以此得名。[1]

社区由四个居民小区合成，即康乐一期、凯城花园、明德花园与源昌豪庭，共有2724户，总人口6394人，其中常住人口4495人，流动人口1962人。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2024年1月，社区被命名为「2023年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
