地名由来[edit]
因位于浦园之后而得名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
后浦原归殿前保，民国初改归竹坑保，抗战胜利后归高殿保。1951年，它属高殿乡五鹏村，当时后浦有一百六十多人，耕地五百多亩。[2]
1958年，后浦归前线公社马垅大队，成为其中的后浦生产队。1959年春，后浦并入厦门市亚热带植物试验场。此前的1970年，试验场下放，后浦生产队的归属计划改为前线公社立新大队。后来，1980年10月改属马垅村委会。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
后浦拱庚堂始建于南宋，清代重修，现存建筑为清代遗构，院前有八边形的花岗岩水池。该祠2007年列为厦门市涉台文物古迹。[3]
荣誉[edit]
2024年1月，社区被命名为「2023年福建省卫生社区」；2025年12月，社区上榜「2025年福建省儿童友好社区」名单。[1]
