厦门海沧保税港区位于厦门市海沧区，是经国务院批准设立的海关特殊监管区域。2008年6月5日获批设立，据海沧区人民政府所载，是全国第六个获批的保税港区[1][2]。港区以港口作业、物流仓储和出口加工为主要功能，2020年经国务院批准改为海沧港综合保税区[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
2008年6月5日，国务院批准设立厦门海沧保税港区，设立时的规划面积为9.5092平方千米，范围由三个区块组成[1]。海沧区政府的概况也记述了这次批准，并称其为全国第六个获批的保税港区[2]。
2020年9月，该区经国务院批准改建为海沧港综合保税区，规划面积调整为6.27平方千米[1]。2021年5月12日验收合格，验收范围为5.23平方千米[1]。2022年9月，原保税港区的管理机构被撤销，其职能划归「中国（福建）自由贸易试验区厦门片区管理委员会」[1]。
功能与设施[edit]
港区以港口作业、物流仓储和出口加工为主要功能，主导产业是航运物流与保税加工[1]。港区以全封闭高架道路形成统一的监管区域[1]。截至2020年，港区建有29个万吨级泊位，年吞吐能力为1亿吨[1]。
