洪塘村位于东孚街道，坐落在天竺山下，1987年7月由过坂村析出设立村委会。[1][2]

村辖区面积约4.98平方千米，下辖七个自然村。村庄以乡村旅游和休闲农业著称，被称为厦门的「后花园」。[1][3]

地理环境[edit]

境内以山地与湿地为主，其中山地2500余亩，另有水田3000多亩。东界为凤山社区，西界为过坂社区；南侧与东瑶村相邻，北侧抵长泰县。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

地名由来有一则传说：清初清军与郑氏部队在此交战，清兵陷入烂泥中全军覆灭，血洒田塘，故称「红塘」，后改为今名。[1]

民国初属积善里留塘、莲升堂两保。抗战期间，村内各片分属角尾乡莲花保与灌口镇贞岱保。建国后经数次改属，1958年归东孚公社过坂大队，1987年7月自过坂村分出，设立洪塘村委会。[1]

2015年3月，洪塘村获司法部、民政部表彰为「第六批全国民主法治示范村（社区）」。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村域紧邻天竺山森林公园。村内有洪塘公园、洪塘广场、五栈桥、浴龙桥等景点。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，洪塘村被确定为「福建省第二批高级版绿盈乡村（乡镇）」。2023年10月，入选「2023年福建省金牌旅游村」名单。[1]
