海翔社区位于海沧区嵩屿街道，辖区东起海富路，西至钟林路，南至沧林路，北至马青路，面积约1.2平方千米。社区名称因辖区范围自海富路延伸至沧翔路而得。[1][2]
本社区是2013年9月从原海达社区中划分出来的。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
2013年7月，海达社区以海富路以西为界，析出海翔社区。同年9月社区正式成立，党支部于年底设立，2014年升格为党委。[2][3]
人口与居住[edit]
社区辖有16个商住小区，其中14个建于2000年以前，属老旧小区。社区住户4151户，常住人口7968人，另有流动人口2082人。[1]
社区治理[edit]
社区设有协商中心，由驻社区企事业单位代表、居民骨干、老党员及区人大代表等17人组成议事团队，制定了协商会议的制度与流程。社区书院培育了十余支社会组织，会员约400人。[1]
