未来海岸社区位于海沧区嵩屿街道，在海沧大道西侧，与厦门岛隔海相望，地处海沧新城区南部。社区因辖内的未来海岸楼盘得名。[1]
社区居委会2007年9月挂牌设立，面积约1.3平方千米，辖内以浪琴湾、鹭景湾、碧海湾、蓝月湾等楼盘为主，共6个小区。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
社区原为贞庵村的一部分。1989年，台商投资区规划把贞庵村、东屿南部的土地及邻近海面划作住宅用地，2000年按规划实施，配套道路等陆续建成。2007年9月，社区居委会成立。[1][2][3]
2013年5月，社区一分为二，以嵩屿中路为界析出北附小社区。2015年1月，社区改属嵩屿街道。[2][3]
人口与设施[edit]
据社区概况，实住人口约1.3万人，常住人口9800人，流动人口之外还有协管人口1556人。社区周边有厦门外国语学校和北师大海沧附属学校，小区内设三所幼儿园。[2]
