海达社区位于海沧区嵩屿街道，地处城乡结合部，四周分别以海裕路（东）、海富路（西）、沧林路（南）、马青路（北）为界，辖区面积约1平方千米。社区因辖内的海达路得名。[1]

社区是海沧的老城区之一，辖内有21个商用小区。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

这片土地过去是石塘、钟山两村的集体用地。1989年台商投资区设立，它成了生活区；1998年又在其中设海发社区。2006年1月，海发社区以沧林路北侧为界析出海达社区，属海沧街道。[3]

2013年7月，海达社区以海富路以西为界，析出海翔社区。2014年12月，海沧街道拆分，海达社区归属嵩屿街道。[3]

社区党支部与居委会挂牌成立的时间，博雅地名网的概况页记作2006年6月，与沿革页所记2006年1月析出的说法并存。[2][3]

人口与居民[edit]

社区设11个居民小组，有套房3284套。以2016年7月的统计，常住人口7273人，另有流动人口2392人。社区党委下设4个网格党支部，党员113人。[2]

设施与活动[edit]

社区的海富路商业街、农贸市场和便民商超满足居民日常需要，辖区内有省级名校延奎小学，以及几家银行。社区设有法治广场，并办有海达书院，开设国学、书法、剪纸、围棋等课程。[2]
