历史沿革[edit]
社区所在地旧称「上路」，因过街行人在此舍舟登岸、走上陆地而得名，后谐音改用雅称，即今名。[2]
此地宋代以来归同安县管辖，宋代属明盛乡积善里，明清时属积善里18都。1957年4月划入厦门市；1958年10月起归东孚公社，称后祥大队，1970年改称祥露大队。1984年，东孚公社改设为乡，村名仍为祥露。1996年，东孚、海沧两镇改隶杏林区。2000年，祥露村划入海沧镇，2003年8月改为归海沧区管辖。2006年1月，海沧镇撤镇分设两个街道，祥露村隶属新阳街道。[3][4]
2011年3月，社区完成股份制改制。[2]

此处的文物有市级文保单位「庄银安故居」，庄氏大宗祠「怀恩堂」，以及唐代的祥露窑遗址。[1]
