临港社区位于海沧街道境内，其四界分别抵南海路、石岑社、角嵩路与马青路，范围涵盖临港新城的居住片区和信息产业园片区，面积约4.3平方千米。社区名称由临港新城开发片区的名称派生而来。[1][2]

设立[edit]

社区居民委员会设立于2021年3月，依据为厦门市海沧区人民政府的批复（厦海政〔2021〕48号）。[1][2]

居住与人口[edit]

社区辖有七个小区，划分为九个网格。据博雅地名网，社区内常住者有2562人，外来流动人口为2511人，此外企业员工达5059人。[2]

产业[edit]

辖区内产业园区聚集，有大型企业，包括半导体与微电子等行业的企业，共计三十二家，此外还有在建工地。社区的工作重点之一，是做好园区生活与文化服务，完善周边配套。[2]

社区品牌[edit]

社区的志愿服务品牌名为「与临童行·爱心筑港」，取「临」与「邻」、「童」与「同」的谐音，把临港的名字嵌入其中。社区党支部则在同年五月设立。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，社区被命名为「2023年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
