海农社区位于蔡尖尾山脉主峰南面，马青路南北两侧，辖区面积约4.5平方千米。社区名称由海沧农场而来，社区所在地原是海沧农场的范围。据博雅地名网所载，社区常住人口1080人，流动人口约2856人。[1][2]
农场沿革[edit]
这里原为海澄县的三都地区。1958年改属厦门，归海沧公社辖制，同期在田厝设场部，办起劳动改造农场。1959年，农场改作厦门市轻工系统的生产基地。1964年，农场定名为国营厦门市海沧农场，归厦门市农垦局领导，场部迁至河山兜。[1][2]
2000年起由海沧投资区管委会代管，2004年区划调整后，改由海沧区人民政府主管。[2]
征地与拆迁[edit]
1990年起，农场陆续被征地拆迁。截至2015年，农场被征收的土地约3474亩，剩余农地约20亩。洪坑村在2006年整体拆迁，居民集中安置到兴港花园。[2]
人口与姓氏[edit]
辖区内姓氏有陈、王、林、何、李、苏等共十五个。多数居民的祖辈于国民党统治时期自安溪及周边地区迁来。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2021年11月，福建省爱卫办授予该社区「2021年福建省卫生社区」的称号。[1]
