海兴社区位于海沧街道境内，东以兴港路为界，西抵芦澳路，南临角嵩路，北靠蔡尖尾山，总面积约2.0平方千米。社区名称由兴港路派生而来。住户构成多样，有台胞、迁入厦门的新居民、周边安置户，也有自贸园区员工。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

这一带原属渐美村与温厝村的地域，2008年11月，社区居民委员会正式成立。[1][2]

人口与居住[edit]

社区下辖六个居住小区，居民户数为7927，住房则有8901套。据博雅地名网，常住者15594人，流动人口为5989人。[2]

社区建设[edit]

社区工作以「融合」为主线，依靠书院、互助中心与协商中心，让居民共同参与治理。协商中心召集各方，就滋补品一条街的环境与经营问题协商，并通过评选「星级店家」加以改善。[2]

辖区内有油画、滋补保健品、礼品三条特色创业街，社区书院还为自贸园区员工开设课程。[2]

2022年10月，社区被命名为「2022年全国示范性老年友好型社区」。[1]
