温厝社区位于海沧街道西南部，濒临九龙江入海口北岸，辖区面积6.67平方千米，下辖九个自然村。社区名称取自驻地温厝村，社区居委会为辖区居民提供服务。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清代此地属集兴上半保。1958年8月这里改属厦门，归海沧公社的温厝大队管理。1986年改镇后设为温厝行政村，2005年海沧镇分立为街道时，改设温厝社区居委会。[3][2]

人口与姓氏[edit]

全社区约有1300余户村民，常住者接近五千人。辖内温姓居多，此外还有程、李、魏、刘等姓氏。[2]

文化遗产[edit]

南宋时期即有的慈济北宫供奉保生大帝，1994年村民自愿集资，开始在旧址重建，2011年建成。[2]

温厝村所在一带是侨乡，侨民散居东南亚各地，其中马来西亚与新加坡较多。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，该社区获得「2021年福建省卫生社区」的称号；2023年1月，社区又获「第九批全国民主法治示范村（社区）」的称号，授予单位为司法部与民政部。[1]
