海沧街道位于福建省厦门市海沧区南部，濒临九龙江出海口北岸。它东面与嵩屿街道相连，南面越过九龙江与龙海相对，西北与东孚街道接壤。街道面积约40平方千米，2020年末常住人口12719人。境内的青礁慈济宫被列为「全国重点文物保护单位」，莲塘别墅是省级文物保护单位。[1][5]
历史沿革[edit]
宋代这一带属龙溪县永宁乡新恩里，当地习称三都。明代归海澄县管辖，划为第四里第三都。[4]
民国时期，此地先后隶属海澄县第四区与海沧乡。1958年，海澄县并入龙溪县组成龙海县，原属海澄县的海沧乡改归厦门市郊区，并设为海沧公社。[4][1]
2003年，杏林区改名为海沧区，此地随之归其管辖。2006年1月，海沧镇撤销，分设海沧街道与新阳街道。[4][1][2]
2014年末，厦门市人民政府批准将海沧街道一分为二，另设嵩屿街道。调整后的海沧街道管有三个社区（海沧、温厝、海兴），五个行政村（青礁、囷瑶、锦里、后井、渐美），以及古楼、海沧两处农场。[5]
此后，海农社区与临港社区相继设立，临港社区居民委员会于2021年3月10日成立。[11][9]
地理环境[edit]
街道地势以丘陵和台地为主，北部有山脉，南侧沿九龙江与厦门西岸一带则是比较平缓的台地。[1]
当地属亚热带海洋性季风气候，一年中气温的变化幅度不大。[1]
经济[edit]
种植业以蔬菜和水果为主，养殖以水产滩涂和对虾为主。20世纪50年代起，境内曾是花岗石的荒料基地，所产石材多数销往国外。[1]
文化[edit]
街道一带信奉保生大帝，青礁村的青礁颜氏后人中有开台王颜思齐。[6][10]
名胜古迹[edit]
青礁慈济宫（慈济东宫）位于青礁村，始建于南宋绍兴二十一年（1151年），供奉保生大帝吴夲。1996年11月20日，它与白礁慈济宫一同被公布为第四批「全国重点文物保护单位」。[6][7]
莲塘别墅位于海沧街道海沧社区，由越南华侨陈炳猷建造，自1904年起动工，1906年前后建成，占地约3万平方米，院内有住宅、家庙、学堂与花园。2009年，福建省人民政府公布其为第七批福建省文物保护单位。[5][8]
获得荣誉[edit]
2021年2月，街道在「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单中上榜。2024年，街道入选「福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡镇」。[3][1]
