鼓浪屿街道的管辖范围与鼓浪屿岛相同，位于厦门岛西南的海上，隔鹭江与鹭江、中华等街道相望。岛上保留着大量中西合璧的近代建筑，日光岩、菽庄花园等景点都在辖区之内，岛上不通机动车，人们多靠步行和电瓶车出行。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

光绪二十八年（1902年）岛上划为公共地界，次年设立工部局管理，英、美、日、法、德等国都参与其中。[1][4]

1945年8月主权收回后，岛上归厦门市管辖并设鼓浪屿区。[1][4] 1955年改设三个街道，1958年并为鼓浪屿公社；1978年又分为龙头、内厝两个管理区，次年改称街道办事处，1984年撤销，各居委会改由区政府直接管理。[3][4]

2003年4月，国务院批准鼓浪屿区取消建制，其区域并入思明区，改为街道。[3][5] 同年，开元区、思明区与鼓浪屿区整合为新的思明区。[5]

地理环境[edit]

街道的辖区即鼓浪屿全岛，面积1.91平方千米。[1][2] 全岛面积另有1.88平方千米之说，见鼓浪屿条目。[12]

人口[edit]

2020年末户籍人口为12719人。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

日光岩位于岛的中部偏南，海拔92.7米，山顶由相倚的两块巨石构成，景区内设有郑成功纪念馆，纪念馆于1962年开放，地址在永春路73号。[6][8]

菽庄花园建于1913年，原为地方士绅林尔嘉的私人别墅，1955年由其家人献给国家。[7] 园内听涛轩辟为钢琴博物馆，2000年1月落成，陈列着收藏家捐赠的古钢琴近百架。[7][11]

种德宫又名大道公庙，供奉保生大帝，建于明朝成化年间（1465—1487年），现址在内厝澳路373号，是第九批福建省文物保护单位。[9]

故宫鼓浪屿外国文物馆位于鼓新路80号，2017年5月投入使用；这座展馆由故宫博物院和厦门市政府合作兴建，是故宫在地方设立的第一座主题分馆。[10]

2021年1月，街道列入第三批「福建省侨乡文化名镇名村」；同年2月，又入选「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。[1]
