万景社区因辖内的万景公寓而得名[1]。过去这片地属洪文村的泥窟社、石村社等，2006年在泥窟社内吕岭路东段开工建设万景公寓，2008年9月设立万景社区[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，万景公寓是厦门首例社会保障性租赁房，2006年动工，2008年6月竣工交付使用[1]。
