育秀社区坐落在福建省厦门市思明区，隶属筼筜街道，名称由体育中心派生而来。社区是在1990年代前后随住宅区的兴建而逐步分出居委会的，最后一步是2003年，松岳居委会的并入。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

社区名由体育中心派生，取其美好之意[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

1990年兴建的「体育东村」一带，1993年命名为育秀里，那时还属江头一带的土地[1]。

育秀与育莲两居委会是1995年10月分出来的；莲滨在1997年8月出现，祥岳则是2000年前后设立的，之后改名松岳。2001年间，育莲被并掉，祥岳另改了名字；直到2003年5月，改名后的松岳居委会才归入育秀和仙岳[1]。
