屿后西社区位于福建省厦门市思明区筼筜街道，原为屿后村内的一片居住区，社区名由屿后路、屿后里派生而来。1993年设屿后东、屿后西居委会，2003年5月两者合并为屿后西社区。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

社区名取自原屿后村所在处，并由屿后路、屿后里派生[2]。

截至2023年，社区总人口为11774人，含流动人口在内[3]。

历史沿革[edit]

1993年10月分设屿后东、屿后西两个居委会。1997年和1998年又先后增设屿后南、屿后中，1999年至2001年2月间两者并入屿后西。2001年8月东、西两居委会改为社区，2003年5月合称屿后西社区[1]。
