开元街道是福建省厦门市思明区下辖的街道，位于思明区西部。街道办事处设在禾祥西路489号，下辖12个社区。[1][2][5]

街道东与梧村街道相接，西与厦港街道相接，北隔筼筜湖与筼筜街道相望。辖区内有中山公园、万石植物园，并有魁星山摩崖石刻群等文物。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

街道的前身是公园街道办事处，原属开元区。据博雅地名网，开元区在2003年并入思明区后，这里改称开元街道；百度百科则把更名的时间定在2004年9月，两种说法并存。[1][2]

抗战胜利后，辖地先后划入厦西、中心等区，1948年起隶属开元区，百度百科则称当年3月曾同属开元、思明两区。[1][2]

1958年底，这里并入开元区的公园公社，此后一度改称红星人民公社。博雅地名网记为1979年8月恢复公园街道之名，百度百科则记为1980年复名。[1][2]

百度百科载2019年末户籍人口93970人。[2] 博雅地名网另载户籍人口63362人，未注年份，两数并列于此。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

魁星山摩崖石刻群位于中山公园内，年代为清末至民国，岩壁上的题刻共十一幅，岩体上建有凉亭。据百度百科，它是厦门市文物保护单位；维基百科则把它列为厦门市第五批文物之一。[3][4]

清雍正五年，兴泉永道署迁到厦门，署址在魁星山下。道署旧址的范围，如今大致落在中山公园西半部与原图书馆的院落里。[4]

郑成功读书处位于万石植物园内的太平岩，年代属明末清初，列为市级文物。[1]

樵溪桥横跨万石植物园内的樵溪，以花岗岩砌成，长14米，桥旁保留南明时期的摩崖石刻，因此具有文物价值。[1]

郑成功杀郑联处位于万石植物园水库旁，年代属明末清初，列为市级文物。[1]
