禾祥西社区是福建省厦门市思明区鹭江街道下辖的社区，位于老城区。辖区东边以斗西路接开元街道，西抵故宫路，南边是厦禾路，北边到员当湖的南岸。[1][2]

2001年8月，社区由原禾祥西、滨西与厦禾居委会的部分区域合并而成。社区名称取自辖内的禾祥西路。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

社区所在地早年属同安县嘉禾里，清末设有大中保。此后曾由思明县或厦门市管辖，战后又划入厦西与中心区。[3]

1948年，此地划入开元区，属溪岸与开蒙保范围。1950年4月，厦禾与禾祥两个街政委员会取代了保甲；1955年3月，这里成为厦禾街道办事处的辖地。[3]

1958年8月，厦禾街道改为公社，地段分归禾祥与故宫居委会；1966年8月公社更名为延风。1993年后，滨西、西堤新村、禾祥西与白鹭苑等居委会陆续设立。[3]

2000年底，居委会改为社区，本地形成西堤、禾祥西与白鹭苑三个社区；2005年又合并为禾祥西社区居委会。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2021年2月，社区入选「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单；同年11月，社区被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
