黄厝社区位于厦门岛东南部沿海，东至拐子桥，西至白石炮台，北靠云顶岩，南临环岛南路，与小金门等岛屿隔海相望。社区名称因黄姓聚居而来。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

清末这里称长塔保。抗战胜利后，它成为厦港区前厝保的辖地，1948年又恢复长塔保之名。1950年5月起归禾山区曾塔乡，1956年并入群星高级农业合作社，1957年3月改由郊区办事处的曾塔乡管辖。[2]

1958年10月此地改为厦罐农场；1966年起隶属曾塔公社，设黄厝大队；1970年4月改归前线公社的同名大队。1984年成立黄厝村委会，1987年8月转由厦港街道农村工作办管理，1996年归滨海街道办事处；2003年8月，村委会改为黄厝社区居委会。[2]
