上李社区处在城乡结合部，是滨海街道的一个社区。它东邻曾厝垵社区，西邻厦门大学，北靠西山脚下。社区名称取自原来的上李社，李姓在此聚居，又因近旁有上李山，故以此得名。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

清末此地归曾溪保，抗战结束后为厦港区曾厝保辖地，1948年改属厦港区曾溪保。1950年归禾山区曾塔乡管辖，其后经历群星高级农业合作社与郊区办事处曾塔乡的阶段。1958年划入厦大农场前哨大队，1966年改属曾塔公社前哨大队，1970年归前线公社。1980年又归禾山公社前哨大队，1984年成为禾山乡曾厝垵村委会的一部分。[2]

1987年起，这一带转由厦港街道下设的农村工作办管理，1996年改归滨海街道办事处。1998年8月，曾厝垵村委会析出部分地段，设立龙虎南居委会；2002年3月，改名为上李社区。[2]

文化[edit]

2021年2月，社区列入「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单；同年11月，福建省爱卫办命名社区为「2021年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
