历史沿革[edit]
1958年以前，此地归思明办事处管辖，1958年改由文安办事处管辖；1966年，此地改名红卫居委会，1980年初又复为思南居委会的旧称。[1][2]
2002年2月，本居委会合并了一个居委会，改称思南社区居委会。2003年6月，由几个居委会的部分地区整合而成，即今日的范围。[2]
文化[edit]
2021年11月，本社区被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生社区」。2022年10月，被命名为「2022年全国示范性老年友好型社区」。[1]
2023年，本社区入选厦门市第三批「一刻钟便民生活圈」试点。[3]
