下沃社区是厦港街道下辖的社区，位于街道的东南端。社区东面毗邻厦门大学和南普陀寺，南面连着演武大桥的观景平台一带。[2]
地名由来[edit]
这一带地势低，旁边就是演武池，过去称作下澳仔。2002年3月起改称下沃仔，社区名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1976年，原居委会一分为二，分设出下澳居委会。2002年3月，下澳居委会改称下沃居委会。2003年6月并区时，又与另一居委会合并，组成现在的下沃社区居委会。[1]
文化[edit]
2021年2月，社区列入「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。[1]
