福海社区是厦港街道下辖的社区。该地以前是渔村，居民供奉妈祖天妃与大道公吴真人，求渔民平安，社区名称也与此相关。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

此地清末属厦港保，抗战胜利后设福海、义和两保，1948年合为福海保。1950年5月本地组成厦港街政委员会，1955年5月厦港街道办事处设立，下设福海、民生两个居委会。[2]

1958年，居委会改为厦港公社属下的分社，1964年4月又恢复为厦港街道的居委会。1966年两居委会改称东风、前卫；1979年8月东风恢复福海之名，前卫则改称民族居委会。1982年9月从福海析出南义和居委会，2003年它又并回福海社区居委会。[2]

据百度百科，2023年社区的住户数为2283户，常住人口约4430人。[3]

文化[edit]

社区以「帮邻到家」工作法为核心，推行网格化治理，并组建「帮帮团」开展志愿服务。2021年，社区获评全国学雷锋志愿服务「四个100」先进典型「最美志愿服务社区」。[3]

2021年2月，社区列入「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。2021年11月，被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生社区」；2025年12月，又上榜「2025年福建省儿童友好社区」名单。[1]
