厦港街道是福建省厦门市思明区下辖的街道，位于厦门岛西南部。街道东面与南普陀寺、厦门大学相邻，西面和西北隔厦门港与鼓浪屿相对，南端止于演武大桥一带。街道名称由「厦门港」演变而来，用以区别同名海域。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明代这里形成渔港，一般称为厦门港，简称厦港。道光十八年（1838年），此地在同安县嘉禾里的二十二都之内，被设为厦港保。1912年改属思明县。[3]

抗战胜利后，此地于1945年8月重设厦港区，所辖保数曾多达14个，至1948年减为8个。1950年5月，厦港区的辖地划归禾山区与思明区。[3]

1951年前后，此地划分出若干街政委员会，其后归并为3个街政。1955年5月改设厦港街道；1958年10月改为公社，1966年又称前卫公社，1979年8月重新用回厦港街道的名称。[3]

1996年，街道析出一部分区域，设立滨海街道。2002年，原有的19个居委会重组为12个社区，2003年3月又并为7个社区。[3]

地理环境[edit]

街道北面以寿山路、鸿山和虎头山与中华街道相接，东北以钟山、五老峰与中华、开元两街道相连，东南以演武路与滨海街道为邻。西南端对着厦门西侧的海域，对岸是漳州市的龙海区。[1]

文化[edit]

厦门疍民曾聚居于此。他们与外地来厦的渔民长期相处、相互融合，形成了一套独特的生活习俗，比如不说某些不吉利的字眼，船上吃饭时也有种种讲究。[4]

2021年2月，街道上榜「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

沙坡尾是厦门港的发源处，清代起即为船只避风的港湾。其名来自一段沙滩的末端，早先这一带被称作玉沙坡。明清两代，此处既是军港，也是商港和渔港，还设过海关税口，郑成功的水师亦驻扎于此。如今这里以文艺市集闻名，避风坞也是区内的旧迹。[6][4]

福海卢厝位于围仔内巷，是清末建造的闽南红砖民居，俗称「新娘厝」。出资者为侨居菲律宾的华侨卢安邦，工程始于光绪三十一年（1905年）。建筑采用「二落带护龙」的格局，又吸收了西式的装饰与设备。2013年1月，它被列为福建省级文物保护单位，编在第八批；2024年起作为家风家训馆开放。[5]
