历史沿革[edit]

解放初，王坑归东张管辖；1958年改由一都镇管辖。村名因当地土色偏黄而来。[1]

经济与荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，王坑村被认定为「2021年度福建省“一村一品”示范村」，入选产品为地瓜干。[1]

2009年，福清市把王坑村列为「社会主义新农村建设试点村」；2020年12月，村庄入选「2020年福建省森林村庄」名单；2022年10月，它被福建省农业农村厅认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
