名称来源[edit]
村子原位于山麓下的一片大草埔上，旧称大埔。因与宏路的大埔重名，1979年改为现名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
宋代归永福乡永寿里，明代属南上隅永寿里，清末改隶东张镇。1943年设大埔保；1950年编入第六区下施乡，1956年并入东张区，1958年组建镜洋大队（隶东张公社），1961年改属镜洋公社。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年11月，村庄获福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。2022年10月，省农业农村厅认定玉埔村为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。2023年12月，玉埔村被认定为福州市2023年市级「一村一品」专业村，主导产业为柚子。[1]
