下石村是福建省福州市福清市江阴镇下辖的行政村。村名来自石氏：先民石氏于唐初迁居锅台山下，故名下石。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代这里属孝义乡江阴里，境内分有螺江、壁颜、安平、石门等境。明代改隶东隅江阴里4图。[1]

清末的1910年，此地归江阴乡管辖。1943年编为甲，归下江乡长厝保。1950年另设下石乡，隶属第8区，1958年成立下石大队，划归渔溪公社。[1]

1961年改属江阴公社，1984年大队改为村委会，1990年乡改镇，村随之归江阴镇。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

下石烽火台位于村内鼎脐山顶，山高约70米。据福清市文体局2018年1月发布的文章，它是明代嘉靖年间当地军民为防御倭寇而修建的烽火台。[2]

遗址占地约200平方米，底座呈方形，用块石层层垒至六层，六层以上已倒塌，是一座实心的覆斗式墩台。[2]

文化[edit]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名本村为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
