地名由来[edit]
古时村中有许多陶瓷作坊，共烧制陶窑99座，产品远近知名，当地称为“硋窑”，此后演变为村名“硋灶”。[1][3]
历史沿革[edit]
更早时，宋代的此地属万安乡，明代归南下隅管辖，1943年设保。1961年起划归新厝公社，1984年由大队改为村委会。1992年镇制调整后，村子转入新厝镇。[3]
经济[edit]
村民生计靠种植、果园与水产养殖，近年朝现代农业和休闲农业发展。村财政在2013年收入35.5万元；农民年均纯收入为14670元（同年）。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
武圣庙、忠贤庙之外，村里还有陈氏宗祠、霞川宫，以及纪念彰亭公的纪念堂，过去常有海外乡亲回乡参观。[2]
