牌边村位于福清市上迳镇。村边有口古井，井水甘甜，旁边曾立有石碑；石碑的「碑」与「牌」同音，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
早先村子属万安乡灵得里，境内有龙山境，元朝照旧沿用其名。明代分属东隅灵得里的上都1图；清末（1910年）归渔溪镇辖。[1]
1950年起设牌边乡（第五区），1958年划归渔溪镇后改为牌边大队；1961年归上迳公社，1987年改称村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年11月，牌边村被福建省爱卫办确定为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
