后朋村村名的由来，据博雅地名网，一是村中住房多以黄土筑成，二是方言中“边”与“朋”音近，村落靠山故名后朋。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1984年改大队为村委会，属渔溪镇。此前，1958年成立大队，属渔溪公社；1943年属山东海保；清宣统二年（1910年）已归渔溪镇。[1]
