南前亭村在渔溪镇的东北角，离324国道不远。村西旧有双亭，村名由此得名前亭，后因重名改为南前亭。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村西旧有一座双亭，因亭在村前而称前亭，后因重名改为南前亭。[1]

1984年9月，大队改设村委会。此前，1979年改称南前亭大队；1961年成立前亭大队；再往前，1943年将前亭保分为3甲，清宣统二年（1910年）属渔溪镇。[1]

荣誉[edit]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月授予南前亭村「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
