南升村位于渔溪镇西部，原名南山，因与他处重名改称南升；村内下楼、下南楼两个自然村是东张水库库区移民。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村南为山，旧称南山，后因重名改为南升。[1]

1980年成立南升大队，1984年改为南升村委会。在此之前，1958年划归渔溪公社，1943年设有南山保，清宣统二年（1910年）属渔溪镇。[1]

人口民族[edit]

下楼、下南楼两个自然村的居民为东张水库库区移民，以黄、伍两姓为主。[1]
