渔溪镇在福建省福州市福清市西南部，镇区位于福厦公路沿线，距福清市区约14公里。[1][5]

据博雅地名网引述清乾隆版《福清县志》，境内由西向东横贯的溪流或与闽王将领虞雄战死于此有关，溪名后讹“虞”为“渔”。镇中心在溪北，镇又称虞阳。[1][2]

2023年，全镇面积为115.3平方千米。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

唐宋元三代，此地的一部分分属万安乡内的万安里、苏田里与安香里；明清两代主要属苏田里与万安里。[2]

福清县在清宣统二年（1910年）划为五镇，渔溪是其中之一。民国时期，1943年的渔溪镇辖有渔溪、上迳、新厝、江阴六个乡。[2]

1959年4月组成渔溪人民公社，1984年9月5日公社改称渔溪镇。[2]

2008年7月，镇区的渔溪社区居委会被撤销，分出虞阳、渔江两个社区居委会；同年10月，渔溪虞阳社区正式设立。[2]

地理环境[edit]

镇区沿福厦公路两侧展开，距福州市区约65公里，距莆田市区约44公里，东南距海约5公里。[1][5]

名胜古迹[edit]

文武名祠为明代建筑，位于旧街电影院处，1988年列为县级文物保护单位。[4]

黄檗山万福寺位于联华村境内的黄檗山上，文物名录写作「黄蘖山万福寺」，年代列为唐代，1981年列为县级文物保护单位。[4][6]

黄檗山鏳人塔墓群也在联华村境内，时代为明清，2016年被列入县级文物保护单位名录。[4][6]
