后营村是东瀚镇下辖的行政村，村北临海。村名的来历有几种说法。[1]

地名由来[edit]

「瀛」字有海的意思，村北临海，所以原名后瀛。一说是方言谐音改为今名；另一说，戚继光的一支平倭部队曾在此殿后扎营，后人为纪念而改名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1973年3月，后营大队组建，共下设1至4个村民小组。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2022年10月，后营村获福建省农业农村厅认定，列入「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]

后营村于2021年11月由福建省爱卫办评为2021年福建省卫生村。[1]
