大壤村位于东瀚镇东北部，是东瀚镇下辖的行政村。渔平高速东瀚出口设在村内，村子处在福清与平潭对接的位置，平潭海峡大桥在此与陆地相接。[1]

地名由来[edit]

相传古时有一位姓罗的过路人，途经北村讨水喝，受到一位妇人热情接待，便称赞此地福厚量宽。后人以「大量」作村名，因谐音定为大壤；村委会则以自然村名命名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村地宋代属崇德乡平北里下都，明代属南下隅平北里下都，1910年后归高山镇。1943年全县设六十乡，村地属高山镇东瀚东保，1945年归东瀚乡。[1]

1950年划入第四区东瀚乡，1952年改属第十四区大壤乡。1958年9月隶属高山公社东瀚大队，1959年另立大壤大队，1961年归东瀚公社。1984年大队改为村委会，1992年乡改为镇。[1]
