东瀚村是东瀚镇的镇中心区所在地。村子位于福清市东南沿海，隔海与平潭相望，下辖11个自然村，其中有镜口、南营、北营、洋楼等。[1]

地名由来[edit]

东瀚旧称东限，俗称瀚江，明初因东面濒临浩瀚的大海而改称东瀚。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村地在宋代属崇德乡平南里六十都，明代划归南上隅。1910年后归高山镇，1943年编入六十乡东瀚保，1945年属东瀚乡。[1]

1950年改属第四区东瀚乡，1958年划入高山公社，设为东瀚大队；1984年改为村委会，1992年随东瀚乡改镇。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年2月，东瀚村入选福建省省级文明村镇社区，年度为2018至2020年。[1]

2024年2月，东瀚村进入「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」的创建名单。[1]

东瀚村于2021年11月由福建省爱卫办评为2021年福建省卫生村。[1]

经济[edit]

村民以海水养殖为主，养殖品种以海蛎和海蛏居多；陆地上种植地瓜、花生等农作物。[1]
