地名由来[edit]

村子位于三山镇西北隅，为陈氏聚居之地，故名北陈[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

宋代属崇德乡化北里下都，清末属高山镇。1943年设嘉儒中保，民国三十四年（1945年）改属嘉儒保；1956年改属高山区沁前乡；1961年由嘉儒分出另立大队[1]。

文化[edit]

村子曾被评为福州市生态村，并获得福清市五星级党支部称号，另有文明村、平安村等荣誉[1]。
