坑北村在沙埔镇境内。村庄建在一条山坑的北面，故名坑北。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
宋代此地属崇德乡平南里六十一都，明代属北二隅，清末归高山镇崇德乡平南里。民国时属六一乡琯下保，新中国成立后改属第四区东陈乡。[1]
1959年设坑北大队；1981年3月归沙埔人民公社坑北大队，1984年9月设沙埔乡坑北村委会，1992年乡改镇。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年11月，坑北村获得「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
