江下村在沙埔镇境内。村名的来历是相传村中原有一条大街，街头立有御赐烈女石坊，文武官员经过此处都要下马，故名江下。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

早年村地隶属福清府六一都。新中国成立后设立人民公社，村地归高山公社；此后沙埔设乡政府，村改归沙埔乡，1992年随乡改镇。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2025年5月，村庄被认定为「福州市2025年市级一村一品专业村」，主导产业为紫菜；同年11月，又被确定为「福建省2025年度省级一村一品专业村」（紫菜）。[1]
