太武村在沙埔镇境内。村名的来由是据传有抗倭将军迁居此地，子孙为纪念其在抗倭中建立的武功而取名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村地在宋代属崇德乡平南里六十一都，明代属北二隅，清末归高山镇崇德乡。民国与新中国成立初期，先后隶属六一乡东盛保和第四区东盛乡。[1]

1961年，沙埔大队中析出四个自然村，组成太武大队。1981年3月归沙埔人民公社，1984年设沙埔乡太武村委会，1992年随乡改镇。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，太武村获得「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；2023年12月，又被认定为「福州市2023年市级一村一品专业村」，主导产业为海鲜菇。[1]
