和联村在沙埔镇境内，村名原作「联华」。高级社时期，几个自然村合并为一个高级社，取和睦联合之意，改称和联。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
宋代此地属崇德乡五十九都平南里，明代归北一隅，清代仍属崇德乡。20世纪30年代起先后隶属第七区的院西乡和和岐保，新中国成立后改属高山镇的和岐保。[1]
1959年先称联华大队，同年十月改称和联大队；1960年和岐独立为大队，「和联」之名沿用下来。1981年归沙埔公社，1984年改大队为村委会，1992年随乡改镇。[1]
