杭中村隶属福清市高山镇，位于瑟江港与后郑港渡头的南端。村名中的「杭」字，古与「航」通，有渡河之意。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村子位于瑟江港与后郑港渡头的南端，「杭」古同「航」，意为渡河，村名因此而来。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1984年设杭下村委会，后因与他村重名，改为现名杭中村。[1][2]

旧属平南里五十九都，境内有杭下境。1943年归后安保，编为2甲；1950年归第四区后安乡；1958年归高山公社薛港大队。[1]

经济[edit]

2025年5月，杭中村被认定为「福州市2025年市级一村一品专业村」，主导产业为尖椒。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，省爱卫办将本村列为「福建省卫生村」。[1]
